Thank You President Hinckley!

I've been so touched by others tributes to President Hinckley on their blogs I thought I would follow suit. My sister, Amberlee, had this picture up on her desktop and I couldn't help but smile when I saw it. I have to say that most of the pictures I see of him make me smile. I am so grateful that I am part of a generation that has been blessed by his life. What remarkable people he and his dear wife were. They both were such a great example of all things good. I was touched by his optimism, unwavering faith, work ethic, and the tender love he had for his wife. His legacy will stand strong and his influence upon our Church and the world cannot be denied. I will miss you President Hinckley!

Favorite Quote by Pres. Hinckley

“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration; most jobs are more dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time railway journey… delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.”

that's a great quote. I love the train analogy. How true. I'll miss him as well.

Hi, Nicole! I may not be Mormon, but I do live in Utah now (can you believe it?), so can I save that quote from Pres. Hinckley? I love it.
